A Word to Our Guests
We welcome you to our community and invite you to worship with us each Sunday. As a Bible-centered church, we desire to worship God in spirit and in truth. Our heartbeat is to get to know Jesus, be encouraged in spirit, and to walk with God throughout the week.

As a church, we are committed to the ministry of the congregation. We take seriously our responsibility of serving each other and the community, because ministry takes place through people. We desire to equip, nurture and mentor people in the faith. We want them to become whole Christians: through worship on Sundays, as well as in their lives throughout the week, to grow in the attributes of Jesus, sharing His saving message with others, to minister to one another in unity, and impact the community through loving service.

We want you to grow like Jesus by learning about His teaching through worship and biblical teaching. We encourage you to develop close relationships with others, and learn to use your gifts and talents in ministry. We pray that you will experience spiritual renewal that comes from knowing Christ.

The Ministries page identifies the opportunities that are available to you and your family at Elim. We warmly invite and encourage you to come and grow with us in the adventure of knowing Christ and serving Him at home, work, school, church and community.

Our Mission Statement

The ministry of Elim is to:
            Introduce people to Jesus
            Grow in Him
            Serve Him through ...
Worship, Discipleship, Evangelism, Fellowship, and Ministry

1. BIBLICAL TEACHING2 Tim. 3:16, 17; Ps. 119
The Bible is the foundation of all church ministry, taught in a relevant and appropriate way for the spiritual transformation of the individual and the church body.
2. CORPORATE PRAYEREph. 6:18; Col. 4:2
God calls the congregation to a life of prayer. We commit ourselves to weekly and special times of corporate prayer.
The Bible teaches that God loves everyone and wants all to have eternal life. Therefore we will actively participate in evangelism through prayer, finances, ministry, and outreach efforts to all ages.
4. LOVING RELATIONSHIPSJohn 13:34-35; I Cor. 13; 1 John 3:16
God's love is demonstrated in how we love and care for one another. We will seek to encourage and nurture through fellowship, acts of service and visitation.
5. FAMILY FOCUSEDDeut. 6:4 - 9; Ps. 78:1-11; Joshua 24:15
The ministry of the church is to complement and support the work of parents in their role as spiritual leaders of their children. Therefore the church will provide training opportunities that strengthen the family.
6. STEWARDSHIP2 Cor. 8, 9
Biblical stewardship means being obedient in sharing of our time, talents and finances. Therefore we will teach and practice biblical stewardship for the glory of God.
7. PERSONAL SPIRITUAL GROWTHCol. 3:15 - 17; 1 John 2:6
Christian maturity means becoming like Christ in character and action. This is accomplished through the disciplines of prayer, study of the Bible, worship, meditation, fasting and ministry.
8. LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT1 Tim. 3:1-13; 2 Tim. 2:2
God calls us to various levels of leadership. Our goal is to effectively develop leaders who display spiritual discernment, servant attitudes, strategic focus and the exercise of leadership gifts.
9. CENTRALITY OF WORSHIPPs. 100; Heb. 13:15-16
Our lives are to be an act of worship. Therefore we worship God by serving Him in our daily lives and by offering praises and adoration in corporate worship.
